    Abstract: 本論文旨在討論如何透過伊瑟的閱讀理論中譯威廉斯的詩。根據伊瑟的閱讀理論，說明翻譯者在翻譯過程，如何扮演隱含讀者的角色。譯者（讀者）就像是隱含讀者，其目的在發現威廉斯的詩中意象，並自意象中找出空隙，接著理解文本，以譯者對文本的詮釋填補空隙。翻譯就是譯者與文本互動下的詮釋。本論文試著由讀者詮釋的角度切入，強調譯者（讀者）在翻譯的過程，如何填補及詮釋空隙，以及如何闡釋具有豐富意涵的文字後，將其具體轉化成譯文。此外，本論文也說明翻譯過程中，譯者（讀者）有限改寫、掌握文本、以及有效運用翻譯策略的重要性。
