Therefore, understanding and assessing the viewers' emotional response in relation to the portrayal of these cartoon facial expressions is necessary. The purpose of this study consists of investigating whether the change in sizes of the eyes or nose in the facial features in the cartoon facial expression may stimulate positive or negative valence, as well as which excitement emotions can be triggered when the sizes of these two facial features change. The study was done for 55 adults, above 20-year-old, in Taiwan. The use of Self-Assessment Manikin, SAM was being practiced as a simple and efficient method for evaluating emotions for imagery and AIPS-based questionnaire.
