Preface: The elders In the institution having a problem in swallowing
affected their diets. Exploring the elders’oral function promotion is the vital issue. Respecting elders has become one of the friendly cities for the eight aspects. The research purposes:were(一)
Understanding the conditions of oral healthcare knowledge, self-effectacy and behaviors for the college students and on the Middle-Aged and Elderly in the institution.(二) Exploring the respecting-elder generation involved the oral health promotion education to intervene the change of oral healthcare knowledge, self-effictacy and behaviors for the college students and on the Middle-Aged and Elderly .Methodology: This study was the quasi-experimental design:102 college students, above 20 years old, and 42 on the Middle-Aged and Elderly, above 45 years old. In the experimental group, 51 college students and 21 on the Middle-Aged and Elderly have experienced oral health promotion education intervened by the education for 8 weeks. It adopted the oral health gynastics instructions and salvary gland massage instructions. Research instruments was the self-designed questionnare. For the validity test, Cronbach's alpha for collge students and on the middle-aged and elderly
were 0.898、0.905 respectively. This study used the
descriptive statistical analysis, average and standard deviation to
show the subjects’ oral healthcare knowledge, self-efficacy and
behaviors. This research used the covariance to intervene the effectiveness analysis and collected the qualitative data through the interviews.
Results: The college’students oral health promotion for knowledge codition was 5.38, the behavior was 7.0, and the self-efficacy was 8.52. The elders’ oral health promotion for knowledge was 1.238, the behavior was 2.95, and the self-efficacy was 2.80. Generation fusion intervening activity had the significant improvements on the college students’ self-efficacy, but it had no difference on the knowledge and behaviors. It had significant difference on the middle-aged and elders’knowledge behavioral intention and self-efficacy. This research suggests to promote the respecting-elder generation involving the oral health promotion education.
