The article presents a case study on the involvement of women in social movements of the Homemakers' Union and Foundation (HUF) in Taiwan. It is inferred that HUF was founded in 1987 and was initiated as both a women's environmental movement and an educational reform movement. In the book "New Feminism" by Lu Hsiu-lien, Hsiu-lien encouraged women to develop their potential and show their abilities to end sexual discrimination in the country.
