This research is to construct an active fall risk screening system based upon indoor gait patterns tracking of elderly people by the use of RFID for multiple intervention services。 The gait pattern of older people can be characterized as decreases in walking velocity, stride length, and increase in double support time。The changes of gait pattern in older people who fall is more obvious than the relatively healthy elderly。We intended to find a simple and easy measurement by RFID to detect the early sign of gait pattern changes, and thus risk for falls in older people。 Main purpose of the active fall risk screening system is to automatically rescue someone who live along and fall to the ground in a faint without the use of camera for privacy reason。Services provided by the system depend on fall risk factors of individual that include long-term care、medical care、medical treatment、rehabilitation、education and home visits by social worker。Research tools include fall risk screening list、changes of gait pattern、 RFID reader and Tags。
