Abstract: Power transformer is an important equipment of power supply facilities, and it is as important as human’s hearts. Therefore, to ensure power transformers’ safety and maintain working normally and constantly is the vital task of Taipower’s employees. Currently, internal technical error diagnosis of power transformers become diversified and mature, but the local technical staff is still insufficient in technology and depends on foreign technology instead. In addition, to ensure power transformers’ safety and maintain working normally and constantly, it requires to enhance the efficiency and quality of power supply. This paper uses detection of oil gas analysis of an internal fault in the 345KV oil power transformer to support this research. Intelligent monitoring equipment "oil gas monitor Hydran 201i (H201i)" was installed in transformers to monitor total change of combustible gas continually. In addition, based on human-machine interface, Taipower built transformer oil gas analysis system to perform actual test analysis of transformers in substations. And finally, the domestic and international oil gas analysis technology was used to validate and confirm the accuracy and practicality of the system
