Abstract: Students tend to join in the stationary activities in their leisure time. Therefore, it is insufficient for them to keep physical fit. The main purpose of this study was to realize the benefits of raising student’ physical fitness by integrating the frisbee sports into physical education (PE) curriculum at junior high school, and to compare how different variables affect students’ physical fitness by implementing the frisbee sports into PE classes. The study was designed as a quasi-experimental research in nonequivalent pre-test, post-test design, taking two classes of the third graders in a junior high school in Taichung City as the sample population. The experimental group (Class A) is instructed the frisbee sports programs in physical education (PE) classes or after-school programs and the comparison group (Class B) is instructed the traditional programs.
The collected data was analyzed by statistical methods, including description statistics, one-way ANOVA, and two-way ANCOVA. Based on the analyzed results, the main conclusions of the study are the following:
    1. Referring to students’ physical fitness, there were no significant differences between the frisbee sports programs and the traditional programs in the post-test.
    2. Referring to students’ performance in sit -and -reach, standing long jump test, and cardiovascular fitness, the frisbee sports programs is better than the traditional programs in the post-test.
    3. Referring to high-achievement students, the frisbee sports programs is better than the traditional programs in the post-test.
According to the research conclusion, there are some suggestions for the teachers and the education administrations. The teachers should develop professional teaching competence continuously and try to integrate the frisbee sports programs in their teaching. The education administrations should provide sufficient related-teaching material and teaching spaces when the teachers instruct the Frisbee sports programs. Besides, more in-service frisbee sports training is needed for the physical education teachers.
