The development of technology has been rapidly progressing. The volume of high-tech products have been reducing as well. Single chips are one of the examples. The functions of these reduced chips are limited. This means it is necessary for some auxiliary circuits or equipments to enforce their usages. On the other hand,, wearable computing has been receiving extensive attentions recently. Especial in the applica-tion of healthcare, such as biomedical signal detection and exercise degree indication. In this work, we study the application of wearable computing by combing Arduino with gas sensors and WiFi communication. The user can elicit the specified servo for sensed data analysis. Upon receiving the sensed data, the servo then conducts data analysis and sends the result to the user in return for some necessary treatment. We focus on detection of harmful gases and build a warning system. The wearable com-puting device is equipped with gas sensors and the servo is programmed with statisti-cal analysis algorithm which is used for analyzing and predicting the dangerous de-gree of the environment based on the received data. The system is helpful for people who are working in an environment which may contain harmful gases. When the en-vironment is predicted to be dangerous to some degree, the servo send warning sig-nals to the computing device so as to avoid the harmful gases from causing disaster events. In the dissertation, we first describe some required backgrounds. Then we de-pict the design method and procedure. Finally, we present our system implementation and testing.
