Nowadays the cultural and creative industry is one of the main industries, both domestic and international. It includes the traditional spirit, combined with new concepts and techniques during the transformation. The old and new cultural combinations have created the whole new generation of industry.
Miaoli Craft Park used to be the main Ceramics Technique Development Organization. It has expanded since 2011, and has now been transformed into a local traditional cultural handicrafts demonstration center. In this case study, we have used this Craft Park for further study on local traditional cultural handcrafts transformation.
For this case study, we started to collect the related materials and books of domestic and international for further exploration. The connected main points included the Korean entertainment industry, Japanese comics marketing, the Great Britain creative revolution, and China as well as others. We have analyzed the centers using hardware and software. We have also interviewed involved staff, artists and tourists. I analyzed the cultural creation centers and how the organization explores and faces different challenges.
At the end of the case study, we focus on the situation of individual cultural creation industry environments. The government needs to pay more attention to professional training and also reform the communication technology of Taiwan and use this advantage to perform cultural creation industry. The local cultural creation center management can be connected with schools’ education to educate students with the beauty of cultural handcrafts. This can create art appreciation habits to develop the cultural creativity foundation.
