Abstract: The thesis aims to investigate the effects of personal background on high school teachers’ motivations and attitudes toward applying cloud computing to their teaching. To achieve the above purpose, this study conducted a questionnaire survey among high school teachers in central Taiwan. A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed, and 220 valid questionnaires were returned, with a valid response rate of 88%. The data were processed by SPSS software for statistical analysis including frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé post-hoc comparison, and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis. The results are as follows. First, the mean score of the perception degree of high school teachers is higher than the mean score of the questionnaire scale. With respect to attitude toward using cloud computing to their teaching, the perception degree of administration staff is higher than that of homeroom teachers. With regard to motivation toward using cloud computing to their teaching, the perception degree of industrial teachers is higher than that of math teachers. Finally, the information abilities of teachers are positively related to their attitudes and motivations toward applying cloud computing to their teaching.
