    摘要: Abstract
    With the development of commercial and industrial society, cities have become major populated areas, where people have an uptight-paced lifestyle and the limited space for outdoor activities. Thanks to the economic prosperity, the affordability of cars and the convenience of transportation to the countryside have made people more eager for space of leisure activities in nature.
    The purpose of the thesis is to examine the risk management of the campsite, including its facilities and surroundings in order to provide the camping administration with the most appropriate methods for risk management as references for the design, the construction, and the rearrangement of the campsites. Another aim is to investigate the risk management of the camping project in Taiwan and to formulate risk management checklists for both the campers and the camping administration to evaluate and avoid the potential risks regarding natural disasters and accidental injuries.
    Qualitative research will be applied with analysis of documents related and checklist analysis. Expert interviews will also be conducted with in depth discussions with two scholars and five experts. The results of the study are three checklists devised:
    1. Campsite Risk Checklist—for the current and potential campsite owners to improve the camping facilities and to increase the security on the campsite.
    2. Camping Activity Risk Checklist—for the camping activity managers to assess any possible precautions or risks left unnoticed before, during and after the activities. Any contents regarding risk identification can be added to or deleted from the checklist based on the needs of the administration.
    3. Casual Camping Risk Checklist—for campers to pay attention to the safety notices on the campsite and the strategies related to self-protection and risk management.
