摘要: This study developed a model for residents in communities to explain how their perceived community sport capitals influenced their sport lifestyle, the lifestyle satisfaction, and their quality of life. Based on thecapital theory and the literature of community capital, the perceived community sport capital is a multi-dimensional construct with five dimensions (each including 3 items): natural environments (natural resources), facilities (built equipments and fields), organizations (formal and informal sport groups), social support (shared culture to encourage doing exercise), and environmental consciousness (to what extent that residents love green exercise). Five items were used to measure the sport lifestyle, three items measure lifestyle satisfaction, and six items were used to measure the quality of life. It is hypothesized that perceived high community sport capital will contribute to enhance positive sport lifestyle, high lifestyle satisfaction, and consequentially increase quality of life. Data (N=398, 217 females) were collected from 10 communities within Taiping District, Taichung City. The reliabilities of the scales were between 0.874 and 0.924. The correlation coefficients among community sport capital, sport lifestyle, lifestyle satisfaction, and quality of life were between 0.339 and 0.630. Regression analysis showed that perceived community sport capitals contribute to enhance residents’ sport lifestyle (regression coefficient = 0.482), sport lifestyle increases lifestyle satisfaction (regression coefficient = 0.576), and lifestyle satisfaction increases life quality (regression coefficient = 0.576). Education negatively correlated with age (-0.497). The higher the age, the lower educated, poorer quality of life (regression coefficient = -0.112), but more positive sports lifestyle (regression coefficient = 0.148). That is, age is a moderator.
