This study was to investigate the relationship between recreation participation and their life satisfaction for students of Taichung's senior high schools and vocational high. Four hundred and eighty-four students were selected in this cross-sectional, descriptive study by using a structured questionnaire. Four hundred and thirty-three valid data were used to analyze as the results, the valid corresponding rate was 89 %. The surveys were conducted during the period of October 1 to October 31 2014. The results of this study were the followings:
1.The surveys with lower level of study load had higher life satisfaction. The gender, parents’ education and occupation, whether ones with tuition and going to college or not had no significant differences to their life satisfaction.
2.There were positive correlation between the items of the surveys’ recreation participation and their life satisfaction.
3.There were positive correlation between the numbers of surveys’ recreation participation and their life satisfaction.
4.The more were the numbers of the surveys’ recreation participation, the more were the types of their recreation participation.
According to the results of this study, more recommendations were suggested as a reference for students of Taichung's senior high schools and vocational high to promote recreation participation and the related researches.
