Abstract: | For many decades, women have endured through many injuries and loss because of their gender. Although the role of women within society has changed for the recent decades, gender inequalities in job stratification, relationships, marriage, parenting, household work, etc. still remain debatable. Gender discrimination misconducts may occur at home, in society, and mainly at workplace, in which women are trying every day to prove their qualification and competence. Vietnam is a developing country where women contribute to 47% of the nation’s labor force. However, women usually receive more unfavorable working condition than men such as lower salary, less promotions, etc. The purpose of this study was to investigate how Vietnamese female workers perceive gender discrimination and how they react against gender discrimination misconducts at workplace. The questionnaires of this study were distributed and sent to 450 respondents with a returned rate of 80%. Descriptive statistics, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were chosen as statistical methods to analyze the mean, standard deviation, relationships, and mediating effect among the variables. |
