According to the statistics of Council of Agriculture in 2006 to 2012, the proportion of female workers in those who work in farm is about 38 percent to 39 percent, the working experiences and the procedures of starting a business are ignored by most of the people nowadays, however. In order to provide consultations for those women who have willingness to engage in the industry, this research investigates about the condition of running rural leisure businesses at present and find the key factors of running rural leisure businesses successfully by listening the managers talking about the stories how they operated it better and better.
Ginger Garden in Miaoli is one of the ten classical fishing and farming villages in Taiwan. The manager of “Mile High Cafe” in Ginger Garden, Mrs. Peng , is one of the winner of “ Awarding for 10 Shennong farmers” of COA. This research enters the scale of management circumstances from Qualitative Research Method, visit and deeply discussed with the director general of Ginger Garden to understand the management strategy of agricultural policies and the transition experience from farming village to begin an undertaking of Mrs. Peng.
The result of the research shows that, organization and local culture and the advice mechanism of government affect the management strategy and ways of Ginger Garden Farming village. In the procedure of transforming businesses, women those who to initiate make future sustainable management be filled with hope and great vision by accepting support from families, join club activities positively, and build confidence and value to be brave enough to face bigger challenges.
