Abstract: Densely populated cities such as Taipei with its congested traffic can eliminate. The problem of limited parking with a web-based and RFID-enabled parking management system which conveniently provides accurate real time parking information including for example; location, availability, price, and making on-line reservations. This paper will depict how to implement the integrated system connecting multiple parking locations by using RFID, web-based client, robust SQL database server and VPN (Virtual Private Networks) to manage the parking enterprise. The parking reservation system developed in this paper will allow drivers to find available locations and to reserve a parking space at their desired destination through use of the Internet. The payment for in-out-parking is paperless, and the charges from different parking lots are automatically consolidated among different parking lots in contrast to traditional individual parking charges such as paper ticket, non-accumulated, manual, and time-based charges.
