    摘要: Accompanied with processing medical image by digitalization procedures and various medical image applications, research in digital medical image is getting more and more attention nowadays. Both distant medical treatment and distant medical education require massive computerization, which includes technologies of image compression and image transition. The purpose of image compression is to balance image size and image quality. Additionally, image compression makes it possible to achieve a great performance while processing considerable data through only PC cluster rather than traditionally parallel computer techniques.
    This dissertation is to try to contribute a medical image transition system which is established based on PC cluster. First, in terms of image itself, wavelet transform is used to transform and divide subband. After that, we digitalize and encrypt medical images via PC cluster. At last, these digitalized and encrypted files are
    stored in the database server. Once end users request for certain images, system will progressively transit images to the other end, and this means that the low band part of image will show up in the client side. This technique enables users to browse this medical image in the first place. If detailed image is further requested, system will restore original medical image by the means of transiting missed image data from the database. This system is expected to achieve high efficiency and high security. This is due to the medical image transition system can select selective blocks within the image; system itself would select the most significant parts of the image before processing wavelet transform. In the other words, in order to keep completed image information, the most crucial information will not be lost after lossless compression technology.
