Abstract: | 過去華人油畫藝術市場多探討畫作本身(尺寸、主題內容)對價格的影響因素,較少討論畫家對畫作價格的影響。本文以2000~2011年的拍賣資料,將畫作尺寸、畫家特質、畫作主題、畫家知名度及時間因素,利用特徵價格法建構藝術品指數,實證結果顯示加入藝術品的投資組合其投資績效明顯提高。本文並探討各種特徵變數對畫作價格的影響,其結果發現畫作尺寸、畫家特質及畫家知名度皆為油畫價格的重要影響因素,且畫家知名度愈高,其作品在樣本期間的平均拍賣價格愈高。本研究建議在收藏油畫藝術品時,除了考慮作品本身因素,尚可加入畫家背景因素做綜合性考量,以期同時兼具收藏與投資的最佳效用。 In the past, a number of papers discussed how paintings size and themes affected the paintings price in greater China’s oil painting, but there were few papers discussed how the background of the artist affected paintings price. In this paper, we use the auction records ,which including the paintings size, artist characteristic, paintings themes, artists fame and time factors, by Hedonic Regression we construct our sample art index for the period 2000-2011. The result shows that the portfolio including the artwork would improve investment performance. This paper also discuss how variables affect price of the oil paintings, and we find paintings size, artist characteristic and artists fame are the important price factor of the oil paintings. The higher the artist fame, the higher the average painting price in empirical period.To make the decisions more completely, people collect oil paintings should not only consider artwork characteristics, but also consider the background of the artist, then investor would get the best outcome of art investment and art collection. |
