Abstract: The sorption of lead ions onto peat has been studied. Equilibrium isotherms have been measured and modelled. Kinetic studies have been carried out in a batch adsorber to study the effect of initial concentration, agitation and temperature. A pseudo-second order kinetic model has been proposed to correlate the experimental data.
