This study discusses how the students use PDA to display digital materials from learning management system (LMS) through Wi-Fi networks; that allows the students to reach the application of ubiquitous learning. Previous researches mostly developed programs for PDA to reach this purpose. However, the programs for PDA had to be downloaded, installed before executed. It is not intuition enough for mobile e-learning and not matches with the property of the interface displaying of web-based LMS. For these reasons, this study adopted Moodle as an open source LMS and developed a system to aid learners to access digital materials from Moodle. This system was called Moodle Bridge. The main functions of Moodle Bridge are transmitting materials between Moodle and PDA, and re-displaying user interface for PDA. This study set the students as users, and allowed them to interact with the user interface of Moodle Bridge by executing web browsers on PDA. In the future, this study will investigate the usability of Moodle Bridge and evaluate the application and effect of Moodle Bridge for ubiquitous learning.
