Home care gradually becomes an important issue in modern society. Small-sized multifunctional instruments are preferred in home care situation. The
PDA is light and easy to use, and the FPAA is programmable. In this research, we take advantage of the properties of these two devices to develop a multifunctional module for biomedical signal measuring. Our goal is to measure various types of signal with the same module. The module can be easily integrated with real-time data transmission
through wireless LAN and database servers to form a complete home care system for physiological monitoring.
