Recently, creativity has become one of the talents, which teachers and parents hope their children have. According to Torrance(1964), four-year-old children are most creative. If children are not encouraged, their creativity might be decreased after that age. Nowadays many scientists stressed that creative process is much more important than creative products. Even though children do not produce beautiful art works at the end of an activity, they still have got many experiences, while they are exploring. Many studies have showed that family plays an important role in concerning about children’s creativity. Family environments are considered to be influential in the development of young children’s creativity. The aim of this study is to examine how parents can encourage children’s creativity through play.
