    Abstract: In recent year, the advancement of information technology and availability of high bandwidth network have brought more conveniences in our life. But along also comes many invasion and attack of malicious programs and abuses of network users that cause network congestion and reduce network performance.

    Therefore, network bandwidth management and network monitoring are pressing problem for network manager. This paper takes the campus network as an example and proposes the following approaches to deal with the bandwidth resources limitation situation and to achieve network bandwidth management:
    1. Network application program management;
    2. Network service connection port management;
    3. User internet protocol addresses management;
    4. User network equipment (network card) management;
    5. Network bandwidth distribution management.

    Many servers inside the campus used the real internet protocol addresses to make the service in school. Such as ID card system, monitoring system and web service system.Therefore, this paper proposes bridge mode bandwidth management system to control network in the campus environment. We use Linux core that provides queuing, filtering, assignment functions in the system to effectively control campus network. We also provide many management interfaces in this system to support manager with convenient controls.
