Abstract: | Molds are the tools that allow the mass production and standardization of products, meanwhile they add the features of speedy production, fine quality and low production costs. Molds are the tools that the industrial product manufacturers rely on the most for mass production; therefore the mold industry has the reputation as “the mother of the mechanical industry”. The mold applications are widely used, for instance mechanical equipment, auto parts, electronic parts and plastic products etc., in which they all relate to mold applications. Molds are the most basic tools for the industry, also the mold technology used is a measure for the standard of a country’s industrial level. Molds must be customized based on the clients’ demands. Their major production process begins with the mold assembly drawing, thru the design drawings by the graphic designers which are according to clients’ graphic documentation, including all component drawings for an entire assembled mold. Once the component drawings are made, then comes the components list and process information, and then these are passed to the process personnel for the process operation. The drawings and the documents for the entire mold are quite complicated throughout the above-mentioned period. By the advancement of the technology, all the products are produced aiming at the trends of light, thin, short and small. Moreover, the life cycle of the products are shortened gradually, thus the molds’ development process must be completed in a short period. This research exclusively made an actual monitor system for the mold production, and designed a record procedure to record the relevant information for the mold production, then provided the related query functions to open up the mold production process, allowing the users to handle the messages such as instant mold production information and progress etc., in order to decrease the cost for progress tracking time of the mold production, and to inform the users with an associated alert mechanism, thus reducing the opportunity for a delay in the delivery. |
