    Abstract: Due to the ageing of world’s population, falls has become one of the major causes
    of mortality and morbidity in the elderly. In developed countries, most falls occur
    around the home or community。In addition, because of the modern social and
    economic developments,more and more younger adults have jobs and cannot take
    care of the elder and leave them stay at home along during the day time that accidents
    might happen more often and cause damage under such conditions。
    This paper presents a Zigbee-based home emergency notification system
    integrating with SMS common platform、single-chip controller and video techniques
    for home accidents and elder falls in particular。Through the application of Zigbee
    technique,people are free moving without cables or being monitored by cameras all
    the time。The purpose for the system is to shorten the response time and have better
    preparation for rescue that not only share the burden of the care givers, but also
    reduce the costs of healthcare。ERR") {
