Among the links of the modern local area network (LAN), the single failure of the Access Point (AP) is a great loss to many enterprises. This study is to provide a redundant link of variant AP within the range. The environment of this thesis is to install the second AP2 within the existing AP1 service range, and to keep the AP2 standing by through the experiment. Both AP1 and AP2 could be two different factory cards providing a feature of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). The AP2 will be assigned as a Client coexists in the service range of the AP1. When the failed AP1 could not provide a normal network service, the AP2 can replace it automatically through a switch mechanism. Then the AP2 continue offering the network line service and let the network service not cut off.
