Abstract: In this thesis we will develop a remote control system on PLC (Programmable Logical Controller) devices which can collect the operation conditions such as normal run or abnormal runs, encode these conditions, and transmit the codes over the Internet feeding into a Structured Query Language (SQL) database for maintenance and troubleshooting. By this way, it is easy for maintaining the remote system. The system can be applied to any control system which uses PLC such as punch machine and parking tower. In addition, by using the Internet to deliver the operation codes and abnormal codes to any handset device which is equipped with network function, it is possible for mobile users to control the system. This make controlling the remote system at anywhere a reality. A parking tower system is used as an example to verify the effectiveness of the system. The operation actions such as mobility of elevating plate, parking a car, and moving off a car are under supervised and controlled.
