Abstract: The most important asset within the court would be the judgment, followed by the development of computerized operation, the making of sentencing has evolved from hand written paper to judge''s own use of computer editing, and to store up by method of pure word file, then through the mapping and management of application data record, to provide simple judgment inquiry servicing function. But how to effectively go about finding all the necessary data from the numerous judgments has become a relatively important topic of discussion.
This research has presented a designing method of metadata by applying XML (eXtensible Markup Language) on the court judgment, to utilize structuralized feature of XML document, enable the judgment of pure word file with addition of the element for the appropriate semantic and the attribute tagging, to afterward convert into a well-format XML judgment, then to save the document on the supported XML document within the native XML database that can be input and output directly, and to use the application programming interface of XML Path Language within the database to support the demand from the former inquiry, through the Remote Method Invocation to enable our system to achieve the searching ability of straddling across the website, hence not only reduce the concentrated risk on the host computer, as well as through the self set design of the semantic tag to achieve even more convenience objective of searching for the judgment.
