This study is based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), to understand the relationship between the motives, the behavior, and the factors that infect the vocational high school students when they use the Internet, and to offer those factors to the government and schools for their reference to make proper policies on the Internet use. The other goal is to verify the applicability of TPB on vocational high school students using the Internet. In this study, the questionnaire survey is adopted by using random sample, giving the questionary to the students of eight departments in a vocational high school in Taichung County. There are 78 classes in the sampling. In the sampling, one class is drawn in every department, altogether eight classes in which 20 questionnaires are given by way of casting lots. From this study, I found: 1. TPB can effectively explain the motives of vocational high school students for using the Internet; 2. The motives for using the Internet of vocational high school students validly explain their behavior on the Internet; 3. When vocational high school students have the Internet resource and the ability to use it, they would do all sorts of activities with the help of the Internet. Results of the study represent the behavior, the self-standard, the cognizance and the motive of Internet using of vocational high school students are in the positive way. It also help the counselors know more about the students? behavior on the Internet, so as to give the students correct concepts and attitude toward Internet using and to practically apply to the counseling work.
