The purpose of this study was to investigate of the effect of eight week of blind baseball training course in visual impairments? orientation and mobility ability. There are totally eighteen visual impairments. Eighteen subjects were assigned to experimental groups and control groups by the method of judgement sampling. Experimental groups proceeded the training course once two weeks. The entire training time of each week was 240 minutes. However, control groups wound not be able to join the training course yet. Experimental groups and control groups wound carry out five tests on the first and last time concerning orientation and mobility ability that include free-standing walking on the edge, walking on the edge with a white cane, walking on the edge by leaning on a stick, walking through the route with a white cane and striking rate?AVG.? All the data were collected and analyzed with one-way ANOVA. The results were shown as followed? In the aspect of free-standing walking on the edge, the time experimental groups finished walking through the edge was significantly improved after eight week of blind baseball training course? In the aspect of walking on the edge with a white cane, the time experimental groups finished walking through the edge was significantly improved after eight week of blind baseball training course? In the aspect of walking on the edge by leaning on a stick, the time experimental groups finished walking through the edge was significantly improved after eight week of blind baseball training course? In the aspect of walking through the route with a white cane, the time experimental groups finished walking through the route was significantly improved after eight week of blind baseball training course? In the aspect of striking rate?AVG.?, the number of times experimental groups got the base-hit was significantly improved after eight week of blind baseball training course. The conclusion was that eight week of blind baseball training course could improve visual impairments? orientation and mobility ability.
