    Abstract: Supply chains are undergoing radical transformations due to the mega-competition taking place on a global scale. Technological changes are becoming a primary driver in the domain of businesses. The concept of reverse logistics has received growing attention in the last decades, due to a number of factors. Competition and marketing motives, direct economic motives and concerns with the environment are some of the important of them.
    In this study, firstly, we investigate the influence of task environment, resource commitment, uncertainty, and modularity on reverse logistics. Secondly, we study the relationships between reverse logistics and performance. The respondents involved in this study are retailers of mobile phone industry in Taiwan. Using factor analysis and multiple regression analysis to describe a firm's practices. The main results are as follows : (l) Task environment, resource commitment, and modularity have positive effect on reverse logistics. (2) Reverse logistics have positive effect on financial and satisfaction performance.
