    Abstract: The consumer behavior conceptual model and involvement theory were employed to construct several prediction models of hospital selection for patients in the thesis. The main purpose of the research was to explore the relationship between patients? influential factors and their hospital selection. The substantive guidelines of the research will be provided to the future patients for their hospital selection and the hospital managers for their administrative improvement.
    The Patients? Decisions Scale (PDS) was design to investigate the patients? health care behavior in central Taiwan. The findings of this research are listed as follows:
    1.The decision of patients in surgical department is significantly predicted on the factor: Medical Dispute.
    2.The decision of patients in internal medical department is significantly predicted on the factors: Medical Dispute, and Space Plan and Facilities of Hospital.
    3.The decision of patients in gynecology and obstetrics department is significantly predicted on the factor: Space Plan and Facilities of Hospital.
    4.The decision of patients in pediatrics department is significantly predicted on the factors: Interpersonal Factor, Space Plan and Facilities of Hospital, Time of Receiving Medical Treatment and Medical Dispute.
