    Title: Research on Managing Strategy and Competitive Advantage for Enterprises of Metal Chip Conveyors ?Study Typical Factory A for a Representative?

    Abstract: It?s near 30 years to develop Metal Chip Conveyors in Taiwan till now. This industrial feature along with progressing direction are affected by the Machine Tools industry. The whole development and the industry of Machine Tools are interdependent. That?s to say the relationship between both of them is fateful.
    This research traced back to the evolution of Metal Chip Conveyors. In order to understand the details of this industry, I made investigate one typical factory A. During the survey period, I reviewed different historical literature articles and official records. Also, I handled participant observation, in-depth interviews and narrative analysis. By the ways of interviewing related industrial persons, factory owners and senior manager of the typical factory. I built up the oral history of Metal Chip Conveyors survey, and analyzed how the typical factory A solve the troubles in order to win long term advantage in such competitive circumstances.
    By SWOT analysis and the model of 5-forced analysis, I find factor?s strategies matched Porter?s general competitive strategy theory, as the progress of this company from the time of induction to the time of growing, and to the time of maturing period. The conclusion of my thesis for the analysis of the Factory A are as follow: the higher advanced technique the typical factory A owned, the competitive advantage typical factory A has. the easier to win the leader position in this industry. Besides, with the strategy of diversity and lower cost patent products, the factory can avoid vicious competition and ensure the top position and level of profit.
