    Title: The Relationship between Self-Assessed Health of Middle-Aged and Aging Groguet Players

    Abstract: Groguet is a simple-rules, easy-learning, health promoting sport, it
    is good for any age people. In Taiwan, middle-aged and aging people
    play more groguet, because it is cheap to play. The purpose of this study
    was to research the relationship between self-assessed health of
    middle-aged and aging groguet players. Four hundred and fifty
    questionnaires were collected from September to December 2006 by the
    convenient method. Four hundred and thirty-four samples were effective;
    and the effective rate was 96.4 %.
    The results of this study were the followings:
    1. At the aspect of the degree of golf specialists, most of the surveyed
    players belonged to the middle degree of groguet specialists.
    2. At the aspect of the relationship between the degree of groguet
    specialists and the barriers of playing groguet, not enough time, not
    enough attraction, and not enough technology to playing groguet
    were significantly related to the different degrees of groguet
    specialists.
    3. At the aspect of the relationship between the degree of groguet
    specialists and groguet players? self-assessed heaths of players,
    beginning and middle degree of groguet specialists were more health
    at the aspect of role limitations due to physical health problems,
    vitality and mental health.

    Because the price to play groguet is cheaper, and it can increase
    plays? mental and physical health through playing groguet, it is
    suggested to promote groguet in the future to increase middle-aged and
    aging people?s health to meet the needs of aging society.
