    Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the competition in global medical equipment industry, particularly in the Cardiac Catheterization X-Ray Equipment Industry. A thorough Five Forces and SWOT analysis of the industry is performed by using data collected via existing literature and companies? websites.
    Results of study show that a competitive firm in the medical equipment industry should always strive to improve its core technology and clientele service while lowering its costs. While major companies in the industry are market competitors, many of them are alliance in research to reduce the heavy costs of new product development.
