    Title: The Relationship between Leisure Participation and Extra Curricular Participation of Junior and Senior Grades Students of Public Elementary Schools in Nautou City

    Abstract: The purpose of this study was to understand the current situation of leisure participation and corporation participation of the junior and senior graders of elementary schools in Nantou Country, to inquire further into the difference, which resulted from different background, between leisure participation and corporation participation, and to realise the relation between them. By surveying with questionaries, we collected the required data and obtained 676 valid samples. With statistical method and analysis of descriptive statistics, t- test , one-way ANOVA and the major findings were summarized as follows:
    1.Owing to different background?grade, gender, participatory time,
    Post and social and economic status,district of residence?, the difference was significant when the the junior and senior graders of elementary schools in Nantou Country take on leisure participation.
    2.The difference were significant when the the junior and senior graders of elementary schools in Nantou Country and undertake corporation participation because of their different background?grade, gender, participatory time,Post and social and economic status, district of residence?.
    3. There were significant correlations between leisure participation and corporation participation in the junior and senior graders of elementary schools in Nantou Country.
    According to above conclusions, my suggestions are offered for schools, parents and administration organizations of education, and advanced researchers.
