摘要:	It is important to understand and predict how people move around and act in the community or at home in order to design any social and economic facilities and systems in various fields for efficient medical care purposes. Because the unsuitability of GPS and GSM positioning system, we plan to approach this subject from the integration of embedded biomedical sensors with wireless communication technology as well as Wi-Fi positioning system, due to its of lower costs, production maturity, and power-saving characteristics, etc,. Another important point to select Wi-Fi positioning system instead of GSM and GPS positioning systems is due to the fact that Wi-Fi system is range?limited, thus has less error than that of GSM and GSP We can develop the same positioning system design but based upon WiMAX technology for more functions in the future following the success of Wi-Fi positioning system design.
