Abstract: The study aims to describe the process in which we organize, execute and modify the outdoor learning plan by means of cooperative action research with the campus plants resource in school as the example location.
The study evaluates how much new information students absorb through designing teaching plans, teaching process , cooperative action research, questionnaire survey and learning in order to improve the teaching plan. In the questionnaire survey, we found that students have keen interests in the outdoor learning activity. The curiosity of outdoor learning activity and the bonding relationship with teachers and peers also help improve the teaching quality, and the effects are even intensified with the help of professionals.
This study suggests the teaching contents focus on the lives of students, use different teaching methods according to students’ ability and grade. For example, stories, role-playing, games, outdoor-observing activity and animation are all good teaching materials that can easily inspire students’ interests and improve teaching effect for elementary school students.
