For students with learning disabilities, developing algebra capability is a challenge, but also the necessary goals. Algebra is leading to more opportunity's door, but algebraic word problems tend to bring difficulties for students with learning disabilities. Thus it is essential to find out the effective teaching strategies for these students. Schema-based teaching strategies emphasize the semantic relations organization of algebraic word problems, and schemas help to overcome the deficiency of students’ working memory. In addition, video will make the word problem real, living, and entertaining. Schematic video can be a bridge connecting special education students and word problems. Even students with poor reading ability can understand very complex problems; while at the same time have a high motivation. Therefore this study on the design of the schematic video should be able to assist students with learning disabilities for algebraic word problems, and to upgrade their applications of algebra to solve everyday problems.
