This research uses in-depth interview as the method to explore the cooperation
experiences of the departments in the domestic violence prevention network in
Taichung County. First, this research has interviews with the professional working
members of the domestic violence prevention network who once contacted with
the new immigrant domestic violence cases, including the social workers in both
profit organization and non-profit organization, police officers, justices and
lawyers, and tries to understand their experiences and viewpoints toward the new
immigrant domestic violence services delivery system. Second, it discusses how
these viewpoints and experiences affect the construction of the domestic violence
prevention network and delivery of the services. Third, this research also disgusses
the interactions of the cooperation in the prevention network, and makes a few
suggestions for integrating and connecting the domestic violence prevention
network. The new immigration who constrained by immigrant policy and laws in
Taiwan and lacking for the social support network, take the disadvantages of the
domestic violence and have problems to look for help in the domestic violence
crisis. It causes a lot of the new immigrant domestic violence cases not to be
reported and become the unknown cases. The research discovers that part of the
police officers have the negative judgment and impression toward the new
immigration, and part of the law officers generally have the strong stereotype
toward them because of their working experiences, but most social workers take
the positive attitude toward the new immigration.
