    Abstract: evaluating the teacher's temperament, spirit and character, the judgment of the teacher's ease or
    awkwardness also indicates the teacher's professional knowledge, skills, and attitude. Hence, qualified
    kindergarten teachers should be equipped with excellent pedagogical and crisis control competencies
    besides being well acquainted with professional theories, and having abundant educational enthusiasm
    and ideals. Moreover, knowing how to apply teaching methods heightens the learning effects and
    constructs a safe learning environment.
    First, this article explores the meaning of teacher professional competency, indicator constructing
    methods and models. Then, indicator constructing methods of professional competency and developed
    content for the indicators of professional competency in kindergarten teachers are proposed. The model
    and indicators may be used as a reference for teachers, kindergartens, administration agencies, and
    researchers for further studies.
