Owing to the change of medical insurance policies and competitive circumstance healthcare organizations grow in recent days. Therefore, public hospitals operated difficult gradually. It is necessary to draw up diversified mane gerent strategies for break through the dilemma. The partial opened medical business is a feasible program.
This study aim is to investigate the performance, employee job satisfaction and opinions of the Ping-Tung hospital applying partial opened medical business. It compared the differences of working capacity, profit and labor productivity between partial opened system and closed system. The study was conducted on 496 employees. In total, 275 copies of the questionaires were collected. The response rate was 55.4%.
This research reveals that hospital performance had remarkable progress. Nearly 80% respondents approved of continue to keep partial opened system and 51.9% respondents hoped to stretch the range of partial opened medical business, On the other hand, there were some problems need to solve, such as communication and coordination, administrative policy, organic cultural difference, treatment and salary, staff administration.
This study may provide the recommendations of review and improve the partial opened medical business system. It also serve as a reference for other public hospitals adopted this management model.
