    Title: 國小六年級學童愛滋病衛教介入之成效評估
    Impact of An AIDS Education Program on Knowledge and Attitudes of Elementary 6th Graders

    Abstract: With the transition of the social conformation and opening of the social climate,
    the following AIDS is prevailing and rampant, and the trends of the infected age bracket are gradually younger and younger. Therefore, it's urgent to cultivate children's AIDS knowledge and attitude toward prevention and cures of AIDS ahead of time.
    This research aims at understanding the present situation of the prevention and cures
    attitude in 6th grade school children AIDS knowledge and probe into the influence of children's AIDS knowledge and attitude toward prevention and cures of AIDS after the educational intervention.
    The targets of the experiment study are the 6th grade school children of a certain school in Yin-Lin County, and six classes amount to 195 students is this research sample. Three classes among them are experiment groups (100), and another three classes are contrast group (95).
    Experiment groups must have three lessons of educational intervention, and contrast groups don't need. Before a week of the educational intervention, two groups of the school children both do the pretest questionnaire for the datum of experiment effect. After a week of the educational intervention, do the posttest questionnaire for the valuation of educational intervention's effect immediately. The tool of the study is a structural formula questionnaire, and its content includes (1) school children’s basic materials and information source, (2) knowledge questionnaire of AIDS,(3) the attitude scales of AIDS prevention and cures. The Important results are as follows:
    (1)The correct rates of the pretest questionnaire of two groups school children are lower than 60%, the most questions are about “The way of infection AIDS.” And “The cause of infection and the host”.
    (2)From the scores of the pretest questionnaire about the attitude toward prevention and cures of AIDS shows that there are still some school children have the negative opinions about the attitude toward prevention and cures of AIDS and catholic attitude to AIDS patients.
    (3)After the educational intervention, the correct rates lower than 60% of the pretest questionnaire of two groups school children have the growing up apparently of 26% to 51%.
    (4)Experiment group has much difference in scores between pretest and posttest of AIDS knowledge and attitude to prevention and cures.
    From the result of the study , it is effective to have the educational intervention about AIDS knowledge and prevention and cures.
