    Abstract: This reserch aims to study the impact of cooperative learning by group merged into traditional teaching to science learning on 9th garde of students’ “learning attitude” and “science learning achievement”. The experimental group implements the teaching by cooperative learning merged into traditional teacing while the control group implements the traditional teaching to the two classes of the students at 9th grade of a junior high school in Kaohsiung city through action research and unbalanced group experimental design based on the quasi-experimental research method. To analyze data is quantity primarily and quality auxiliarily. Quatitative data include “Table for the Learning Attitude of Science”,” the 3 grades of monthly exams of 9th grade, 1st term”and “Questionnaires on Lerning Attitude to the Cooperative learning”. The qualitative data is the two Q. and A. of the Questionnaires on Lerning Attitude to the Cooperative learning by Group. The research results are as follows:1.In terms of the impact on learning attitude of school students, the “ Learning Motivation to Science”, “Learning Attitude to Science”, “Attitude towards the Science Teacher”, and “Learning Strategy to Science” on the students in experimental group are all beter than the students in the control group.2.The students in the experimental group got higher correction scores than the students in the contrasting group, especially the improvement of the middle-level students in the experimental group is the best.3.Most students in the experimental group express positive affirmations on the teaching method of cooperative learning, and think it is helpful to learning. Part of them think the rules of cooperative learning still need to be improved.
