    Title: A research of school management of small-scale schools in Tainan County~ take happy elementary school for example

    Abstract: This study is from Tainan, a Six elementary school case studies to explore the remote areas, small schools were consolidated school policies and the case that school has to overcome and the pressure of history. Starting from 99 school year to 100 school year to interview as the main research methods, with document analysis and participant observation to collect relevant empirical data to discuss the basis for analysis. This study used semi-structured interviews, interviews with the school principals, directors, teachers and parents to understand the background factors of the cut down and merge school relations staff cut down and merge course the attitude and point of view, as well as the face of cut down and merge school crisis coping strategies with the actual development difficulties, to provide a reference to the relevant personnel. The conclusions are as follows: First, analysis the case of school business factors. 1.Parents affirm the school intentions of the incumbent President of teaching seriously. 2.Cases in the school curriculum by the impact of school size is not large, and has the advantage of small class teaching in the teaching situation 3. The consensus of the school staff and external members 4. The school team work together to achieve the highest efficiency. 5. This case is limited, due to the preparation of the number of teachers must be the burden of teaching and administrative work, but in which any aspect of support under the premise of the school can still maintain good operation. 6. The development of school characteristics, school competitiveness, exposure rate, and enhance students' various abilities. 7. Parents affirm “hand in the planning and luminous Angel Project”. Second, small schools and topics reflect the current social, economic and   educational background and more obvious.Third, planning the amount of small schools in the whole and need to consider the factors including: the cost of education, educational opportunities, social needs, supporting measures, and psychological aspects, etc.The study recommends the following:First, the recommendations of the school management strategies 1. Schools to seek sustainable commercialization of education should be avoided. 2. The development of specialized education programs, have a chance to get rid of waste the school's fate 3. Consolidate the basic operation of the various aspects of school, to reduce the variables arising as a result of "people" 4. Inject some non-variable thinking, so that teachers are willing to take the changes in the educational environment 5. To grasp the trend of the times selected by the parent education, marketing school teaching in small classes' advantages 6. The leadership must adopt a contingency leadership model, to the members of the school to move from their energy Second, on the recommendations of the County Board of Education: models should be modified 1. Re-considerations and approaches 2. Strengthen the school and outside of the school communication and advocacy 3. Remote small school has its own value Third, the civil society of recommendations1. To give more remote schools to assist 2. Provide opportunities for students performance, the experience is recommended Finally, this study is based on the conclusions of the study and recommendations on the future of school business.
