    Title: A Study of the Leisure Participation of Overseas Travel, the Leisure Benefits of Overseas Travel and Well-being for Unmarried Female Elementary Teachers

    Abstract: This study aimed to understand the correlation within the level of the leisure participation of overseas travel, the leisure benefits and well-being for unmarried female elementary teachers. The results of the study can be used as a reference for unmarried female elementary teachers and related institutions. This study adopted questionnaire survey method, and employing purposive sampling method. In addition, this study also analyzed the relationship between the variables based on the different background factors. The research subjects of the study were the unmarried female elementary teachers in five cities, Taipei city, New Taipei city, Taichung city, Tainan city and Kaohsiung city. There were 372 valid collected samples, which used SPSS 17.0 for Windows to run the descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and regression analysis, setting the significant level at p=.05. The results of this research are summarized as follows:(1)The mainly category of leisure participation of overseas travel was sightseeing, the highest amount in the frequency of leisure participation was once a year for overseas travel.(2) The leisure benefits of overseas travel for unmarried female elementary teachers possessed high scores, which would be influenced by the years of teaching and educational backgrounds.(3) The well-being of overseas travel for unmarried female elementary teachers which would be influenced by the region of teaching, the scope of elementary, the position of job, the year of teaching and the income of month.(4) A significant positive correlation existed among the leisure benefits of overseas travel and well-being.(5) The well-being of overseas travel for unmarried female elementary teachers would be influenced by the category of the leisure benefits of overseas travel.
