    Abstract: The aim of this study was to exploring the relations between beauticians' job characteristics(workload, interpersonal conflict, work feedback, job autonomy) and turnover and the mediating effect of emotional exhaustion. The purposive sampling method was used to conduct surveys with structures questionnaires among full-time beauticians of Taiwan practitioners. A total of 303 participants returned valid responses for analysis andvalid response rate was 83%.The results revealed that interpersonal conflict positively related to turnover intention. Job autonomy negatively related to turnover intention. Moreover, both workload and interpersonal conflict had a positive correlation to emotional exhaustion. Otherwise, job autonomy had a negative correlation to emotional exhaustion. Finally, emotional exhaustion was positively related to turnover intention and had the partial mediating effect on the relations between work characteristics (interpersonal conflict and job autonomy) and turnover.
