Abstract: | The greenhouse effect caused by climate change has resulted in resource exhaust and deterioration of ecological environment. Thus, the concern about environmental protection has become the trend all over the world. As eco-industry is aggressively promoted by governments around the world, enterprises are now expected to include the issues of environmental protection into its managing strategy. Therefore, how to win the competitive advantages without ignoring the social responsibilities has become one of the most important topics for an enterprise to acquire its sustainable development. In this research, Delta Electronics, Inc. is used as the case study target to investigate how it can create green energy business opportunity and realize the corporate social responsibility through innovative green energy product, and eventually, business operation concept of “environmental protection, energy saving and earth loving” can be achieved. In this research, through stakeholder and value chain analysis, the performance of Delta Electronics Inc. in corporate social responsibility is investigated, meanwhile, how it reaches competitive advantages through promoting green energy sustainable development is also understood. In this study, from the view point of stakeholder, the performance of Delta Electronics Inc. is investigated. From the research, it was found that Delta Electronics Inc. not only can take care of the interests of all the stakeholders, but also can seize the market trend, moreover, it can also create green legend that meets its corporate concept, that is, the corporate social responsibility can be fully fulfilled. From the value chain analysis result, it was found that the competitive advantage created by the value chain of Delta Electronics Inc. is highly related to its corporate social responsibility. The case study result of this research has proved that corporate social responsibility will not be in conflict with the pursuit of profit by an enterprise, that is, the only way to keep the long-term competitive advantage of an enterprise is to associate the corporate social responsibility with its business operation strategy, and eventually, the goal of sustainable development can be reached. |
