    Title: The Business Models of Re-used Old Buildings

    Abstract: Recently, Tainan city set off a wave of urban old building travel experience. The business owners trying hard to combine the value of life and finance income into the old building re-use to become a new business model. The purpose of this study is to understand the special operating strategy on re-use old building, and through the case study to clarify this business model.This study used qualitative research methods, base on data collection, interview, and analysis by five different backgrounds of old building re-use operators to interpretation this writing. By the founding of this research, we can see the core values of this business model are “share to” and “share with”, and use the marketing strategy as word of mouth, travel navigate, web delivery, product design and service design to offer the consumers an memory experience, value of life education and cultural product.Summary of all these analysis in this study found that the re-use old building business model, the emotional level such as experience exchange is taking more important part than economic consideration that lead this model is more unique and different than other business model. The main profit ways of this model is ideas spread, cultural experience and emotional relationships between owner and consumers. Although the case studies of this research are common with re-use old building operating, but base on each different background and style also will coming up with different business strategy. We can divide into four-business model as “large-scale”, “art”, “idea concept” and “traditional” business models.
