    Title: A Study on Relationship among the B&B Industry Cluster and Competitive Advantage

    Abstract: Industry Cluster has been used to be investigate the secondary sector of Industry, researches that focus on tourism industry are relatively less, and not yet to research in internal B&B industry. Therefore, in order to investigate B&B industry cluster degree in local. Drawing on the previous researches, this study summarized five variables as the antecedents of B&B industry cluster, including “aggregation on geographical”, “B&B horizontal cooperation relationship”, “B&B vertical cooperation relationship”, “B&B horizontal competition relationship” and “shared resource relationship”. This study included “B&B industry cluster” degree structural relationship in order for a more clear influence effect.The instrument for measuring competitive advantage was the “cost”, “quality”, “innovation”, and “customer respond”. Hualien City, Yilan City, and Nantou City was selected as location for questionnaire investigate. This research finally obtained 97 valid samples in the three city. The main findings through ANOVA, Canonical Correlation, and t-test are as follows: “aggregation on geographical”, “horizontal cooperation relationship”, “vertical cooperation relationship”, “horizontal competition relationship”, and “shared resource relationship” have significant influences on competitive advantage of “cost”, “quality”, “innovation”, and “customer respond”, and "horizontal cooperation relationship" and "shared resource relationship" have significant effects on the "quality" and "customer respond".
